Head over to the winery during Yappy Hr to meet local author Justine Cowan and buy and get copies of her new book, The Bee Catchers signed. Justine Allen Cowan is originally from Bethesda, Maryland. She attended Holy Cross High School in Kensington, Maryland, and Loyola College (now University) in Baltimore, Maryland (B.A. in English/Writing; 1986). She began her writing career when she won First Place for the best “Bird Book” in 8th-grade science class. She has been an English teacher, copywriter, and reporter. Justine has written 11 screenplays (one of which was a finalist in the Writer’s Digest writingcompetition), 2 children's books (with her almost 100-year-old mother as the illustrator),and 1 novel, The Bee Catchers. She is currently working on her second novel.

Colter is a folk musician and singer-songwriter from Falls Church. In high school, he founded the Wammie-nominated indie pop band Indigo Boulevard, performing throughout the DMV accumulating nearly a million streams across streaming platforms. Today, he writes and performs with the D.C. folk band Night Hawk. His setlist includes a selection of original music, and creative spins on folk, country, and pop covers. He will be accompanied for this performance by violinist Emma Chun.

James has been touring regionally, up and down the East Coast and beyond, performing original songs and choice covers from the blues, folk, and soul catalogs.
